Feature and interview with the Berlin producer Young Ax, who first heard drum and bass on DT64. That year brought a single on Santorin and releases on Brand:Nu and Critical, with tracks due on a Vibez 12-inch compilation and on Horizons, further Critical releases planned and an album under discussion. His sound uses Artillery, a custom plug-in from a small software maker he knows. He says he has no dream label and would rather run his own, and describes a planned split release falling through when the other producer asked for an advance.
„Ich hab kein Traumlabel. Viel wichtiger wäre ein eigenes Label. … Eigentlich dachte ich, man müsste zusammenhalten. Dann wird eben allet alleene jemacht.“Young Ax, De:Bug 2005
